Macmillan Charity Raceday 17th June 2017

A scorching day on the Knavesmire drew a huge crowd to indulge in a wonderful day of racing and charity fundraising at York. The day began with the Queen Mother's Cup for Lady Amateur riders and was won by a delighted Joanna Mason on Tapis Libre.

The feature race saw Tim Easterly's trained Golden Apollo with James Sullivan on the ride win the Catherine Kinloch Paver Memorial Charity Stakes. A cracking afternoon with over £500,000 raised for Macmillan was capped with the ride of their Lives Charity race. Belinda Keighley took the honours in this inspirational race.
